SUPER BOWL or BUST

That's it my friends, there is no gray area, this team is loaded for bear and the mandate is crystal clear. Rex Ryan is telling anyone who will listen, this team expects to win the Super Bowl this year.

They don't want to win it. They don't hope to win it. He expects to win it, and to a man his players are drinking the kool aid.

On paper this is the most talented Jets team I have seen in my lifetime not counting the SBIII squad. There have been other talented Jets teams to be sure, one that...

20:24 Jets ink QB Brunell to two-year deal - JetsInsider.com
Sources informed JetsInsider Wednesday night that the New York Jets had closed in on a two-year agreement with veteran quarterback Mark Brunell.

The 39-year-old Brunell figures to serve as a much needed mentor to quarterback March Sanchez as well as another veteran leader in the Jets' charismatic locker room.

Brunell, who spent the bulk of his seventeen-year career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, spent the last two seasons backing up Drew Brees in New Orleans.  Brunell also spent four seasons with the Washington Redskins from 2004-2007.  In sixteen games in '09, Brunell completed 15 of 30 passes for 102 yards with one interception.

The...

18:00 Jets Team Report (Yahoo! Sports) - Yahoo! Sports - NFL - New York Jets News

Let's take a quick look at the resume of former Jet free safety Kerry Rhodes.

Yes, it's true, he invented New Coke. And certainly, he was the one who began global warming. And while you may believe it was Jim Joyce, it actually was Kerry Rhodes who blew the call in Armando Galarraga's imperfect game for the Detroit Tigers.

OK, so Rhodes wasn't responsible for any of this. But if you listen to some of the Jets, you could be excused for believing he was. Evidently, many of their ills last season were due to the photogenic free safety, who was traded to Arizona in March after falling out of favor with the coaching staff.

Rhodes' relationship with the coaching staff, particularly defensive coordinator Mike Pettine and secondary coach Dennis Thurman, turned contentious...
